The United Way of Central Ohio’s downtown headquarters will undergo a $4 million transformation after securing two buyers for the building. Once finished, the building will become 12 stories tall with 135 apartments + 30,000 sqft of commercial space. 🏗 (Columbus Business First)

Cedar Point, the popular amusement park in Sandusky, is retiring the Top Thrill Dragster, effective immediately. The design team said they are actively working on a new coaster to replace the 19-year-old ride. 🎢
Opening
Lucky’s Market, an Ohio-based grocery store, is opening a new location in the Victorian Village in the former Giant Eagle on Neil Avenue. Construction is expected to begin in the fall. (Columbus Underground)

The Buckeyes were without Jaxon Smith-Njigba most of the game last Saturday, but coach Ryan Day said he’ll be back this week. Catch Jaxon on Saturday against Arkansas State at 12 p.m. 🏈 (Eleven Warriors)
Seth Towns, a Harvard graduate who transferred to the Ohio State men’s basketball team in 2020, is medically retiring. Seth, who has been dealing with a back injury since arriving, made headlines in 2020 for his social justice speech. 🏀

Mikey’s Late Night Slice is taking cheese to ludicrous levels with its mac n’ cheese pizza that’s available this week at all locations. The pizza features four different cheeses on top of mac n’ cheese. 🍕

It’s only September, but North High Brewing has its eyes set on October — more specifically, Oktoberfest. The local brewery just released its Oktoberfest beer which is available in the taproom, or in grocery stores. 🍺
