Each season, we bring you a new date night guide which always includes spots for dinner, drinks, and an activity — but this time, we are bringing you a three-for-one.
This summer edition of the date night guide takes you to Natalie’s Coal Fired Pizza in Worthington at 5601 N. High St. + it’s where you’ll stay for the evening.
Dinner 🍕
There’s a reason the Columbus community fills up Natalie’s each weekend — the New York-style, thin crust pizza that comes fresh out of a coal-fired oven each order. Menu favorites include the Bianco, a mix of fresh Italian cheeses on an olive oil based pizza, or the Aurora Borealis made with bacon, asparagus, and hot peppers. Reservations can be made online.
Pro tip: There’s a parking lot in front of Natalie’s for easy parking.

Drinks 🍸
The Light of Seven Matchsticks
Go down the flight of stairs just outside of Natalie’s, open an old metal door, and you’ll find a 1920s-themed speakeasy hidden away in the basement. The Light of Seven Matchsticks brings Wes Anderson vibes into its cozy space + its cocktail menus are tucked away in classic epic novels. Plus, the menu includes non-alcoholic cocktails like an old fashioned or a Manhattan.
Pro tip: Check the back of the menu book for a slip with that month’s secret cocktail.

Activity 🎶
If Natalie’s is open, it’s probably a safe bet that live music is being performed that night. Shows here can feature a little bit of anything — this includes local acts, regional performers, and Grammy-nominated artists. If you’re into jazz and gospel, check out Bryan Olsheski and the Bobby Floyd Trio on Fri., June 10. Or, if singer-songwriters are more your style, Chattam Rabbits performs on Wed., June 15.
