🗳 Julie Lynch vs. Jessica Barwell, Judge, Franklin County Court of Common Pleas
After defeating Michael J. Boyle by a final count of 52.4% to 47.6%, current Judge Julie Lynch , a Democrat, is now set to face Jessica Barwell , a Republican, in the November election for a seat on the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas bench as judge. Jessica was unopposed in her primary election race.
🗳 Mike DeWine vs. Nan Whaley, Governor
Current Governor Mike DeWine , a Republican, looks to defend his seat against Nan Whaley , a Democrat and former Mayor of Dayton, after the two candidates were able to secure enough votes in the primary election last week. While Mike defeated a handful of candidates by obtaining 48.1% of votes, Nan received 65% of votes to move forward against John Cranley.
🗳 Tim Ryan vs. J.D. Vance, US Senate
In a primary election where both parties saw multiple candidates run for the seat, we will see current Representative Tim Ryan , a Democrat from Cleveland, in a race against author J.D. Vance , a Republican. Tim received 69.7% of votes and J.D. earned 32.2% of votes.
Additionally, Whitehall’s police levy
, which would provide the city with six new officers + an office expansion, passed the primary and will be on the November ballot.
