Commons for Kids is back today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Columbus Commons.
The free, family-friendly event runs every Friday morning through August 9, and features lawn games, carousel rides, and weekly themed activities.
Today’s theme is “Going Green,” and here’s what you can expect:
- Face paintings and balloon animals with Pretty as a Princess
- Plant-and-grow projects with Lowe’s
- Composting, gardening, and insects with Franklin Park Conservatory
- Hands-on water filtering activities with Ohio Wetlands Association
- DIY binoculars and bird feeders with OSU Urban Arts Space
Tortilla Mexican Street Food and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams will be available each week, or feel free to pack your own picnic.
