When you walk across a sidewalk and hear the crunchof a leaf — that’s when you know it’s fall in Columbus. And today, we raked up five parks that are perfect for jumping into the autumn scenes.
Elevate your leaf viewing experience with 12,000+ roses residing inside this 13-acrepark. The free park is open year-round + opens at 7 a.m. each day. Want a sneak peek? Check out the rose list + shrub list.
This 32+ acre park in the Short North is where you’ll find leaves from Champion Trees. These are trees that were identified by the American Forests program that are among the oldest and largest trees. One example: The Chinese catalpa.

Did you know Gahanna has been a Tree City for 20+ years now? This 7.9-acre park highlights all the preservation efforts from the community + offers walkways, picnic tables, and scenic waterfalls.
This park is also home to Champion Trees, with species like the Wych elm. And as leaves fill the ground, statues are suspended in the air from wires all across the 23+ acre park.
This ravine park is located in a steep wooded bank with a creek flowing through it. With 7+ acres to explore + a bike path, we recommend renting a CoGo bike to glide through the views. Don’t forget to check out the recently finished Bird Tunnel mural, too.
Bonus: Take SR 315 North to Delawarefor a scenic fall leaves drive.
