Businesses that are open on Christmas Day in Columbus

There are just five more days until Christmas, and that means many businesses, restaurants, and shops will be closed on Sunday, Dec. 25. To make sure you don’t turn into the Grinch this year looking for last minute needs, here’s a look at what will be open on Christmas Day.

Dining 🍽

  • Bravo Italian Kitchen at 1803 Olentangy River Rd. will be open from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. while the 3000 Hayden Rd. location will be open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • The Keep, located at 50 W. Broad St., will offer a Christmas Day breakfast from 7 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • Mitchell’s Steakhouse in Polaris + downtown will be open from 12-8 p.m.
  • Happy House in Grandview will be serving up fresh Asian cuisine from 1-10 p.m. and offers takeout.

Health 💊

  • Walgreens will be open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at select locations + 24-hour locations will be open the entire day.
  • CVS will be open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m., but the pharmacy + clinic won’t be operating.

Convenience + gas ⛽️

  • All Sheetz locations will be open all day.
  • Most Speedway locations will be open all day.
  • Most Circle K locations will be open all day.

Things to do 🎥

  • Marcus Theatres’ Crosswoods Cinema starts the day early with a 9:30 a.m. screening of the new “Avatar: The Way of Water” in the UltraScreen DLX theater.
  • Phoenix Theatres at 777 Kinnear Rd. will be open with the earliest screening at 11 a.m. + the latest screening at 10 p.m.
  • Cinemark Polaris 18 and XD has many afternoon + evening screenings available, including “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” at 2:50 p.m.
  • Gateway Film Center at 1550 N. High St. will open in the afternoon with the first screening starting at 4:30 p.m.

  • The Roosevelt Room, a President Teddy Roosevelt-themed cocktail bar, opens on Friday, Dec. 30 at 6544 Longshore Loop, according to its bio on Instagram. The menu will showcase patriotic cocktails such as The Washington — made with Tito’s vodka, St. Germain liqueur, champagne, and lemon juice — as well Ohio-based breweries like Great Lakes Brewing Company. 🥃

  • Brooks Running, an athletic-wear retailer based in Seattle, will relocate its distribution center in Groverport into Rickenbacker Logistics Park in the second quarter of 2023.   • Surround yourself in the world of Disney when Lighthouse Artspace Columbus unveils its Disney Animated: Immersive Experience exhibit on Thursday, April 6. Winter walk offers chance to explore candle-lit labyrinth at Chadwick Arboretum

Tomorrow is the first day of winter + Chadwick Arboretum is lighting up the runway for its entrance into Columbus.

On Wednesday, Dec. 21, the local arboretum will host its Winter Solstice Labyrinth Walk, where visitors will learn about its conifer collection before exploring a candlelit labyrinth on the 60-acre property. Here’s a run down of important times for the free-to-attend event:
  • 3:30 p.m. | Meet at the Trellis Entrance for a 30-minute guided walk of the conifer collection.
  • 4:15 p.m. | A second guided walk of the conifer collection begins.
  • 5-6:30 p.m. | Explore the labyrinth + enjoy hot cocoa and roasted chestnuts.
While the event is free, the nearby parking lot is $2.50 per hour, which can be paid via credit card. The arboretum is located at 2001 Fyffe Ct.
