Closing
White Castle, the Columbus-based fast-food chain, will close its Short North location,which has been in that area for 54 years. The restaurant will close its doors after regular business hours on Saturday, Dec. 24. (Columbus Underground)

Chop5 Salad Kitchen, a national fast-casual chain, will open a new location in New Albany at 1305 Lane Ave. The build-your-own chopped salad restaurant fills the former Moe’s Southwest Grill space + plans to open in spring 2023. 🥗 (Columbus Business First)
Development
Two Columbus projects — Ohio Bell Southwestern Headquarters + West High School — received millions in historic tax credits. The Ohio Bell project received $5 million and plans to renovate the vacant building into a large apartment complex. West High received $2 million and wants to build affordable housing units. Sports
The Columbus Crew released their full schedule for the 2023 season. The 34-game season has 17 homes games, including a showdown in mid-August against in-state rival Cincinnati FC. Single match tickets go on sale today at 10 a.m. ⚽️
The 2022 season isn’t over just yet — but we can get a glimpse into the 2023 Buckeye football squad. A total of 19 recruits signed their letter of intent to Ohio State on National Signing Day yesterday. Thanks to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Prediction Center, we know what temperatures and precipitation trends to expect in our city for December, January, and February. While exact weather conditions typically can’t be predicted more than a week in advance, here’s a seasonal outlook to help you prepare for what winter will bring.
