We’re not kiddin’ around. From major attractions like COSI to hidden gems like the Picture Perfect Ranch, there’s something in CBUS for children of all ages. You’ll have no trouble entertaining the youngsters this summer with this list of 25 kid-friendly activities around the 614.

🦁 Animal encounters

Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, 4850 Powell Rd. | 🎟️ Family memberships available
The Zoo makes a great place to host birthday parties or enroll in summer camp. Kids will remember hands-on educational experiences with animals.

Picture Perfect Ranch, 1214 Rockmill Rd. NW
Book a guided tour to see Highland cows, horses, alpacas, pigs, goats, and ducks. Kids will remember feeding and petting farm animals.

The city’s largest indoor adventure park has ropes courses and climbing walls. Kids will remember going ziplining.

Get Air Columbus, 3708 Fishinger Blvd.
This indoor trampoline park has special hours for toddlers to jump. Kids will remember dodgeball and the foam pit.

🎳 Indoor adventures

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Columbus, 157 Easton Town Ctr.
Meet LEGO characters and see mini LEGO masterpieces. Kids will remember the 4D cinema with wind, rain, and fog effects.

Ages eight and under can ride multi-slides and play in ball pits. Kids will remember the kitchen and vanity-themed playrooms.

Environment
  • Starting Monday, June 12, the City of Columbus will begin weekly curbside recycling pickup for residents. Mayor Andrew J. Ginther said, “Recycling supports jobs and a circular economy to help our community and neighborhoods thrive.” (The Columbus Dispatch)
Community
  • Lion Cub’s Cookies, an award-winning fresh cookie bakery, will now offer a permanent military discount to all active and retired military personnel. Present your military ID when checking out to receive the discount.
Closing
  • Great Harvest Bread Co., a bakery located at 5311 Westpointe Plaza Dr. in Hilliard, is permanently closing tomorrow. The bakery stated, “We will continue to bake fresh breads & goodies and serve delicious sandwiches, salads, soups, & espresso until our last day.”
