Disney’s “Frozen” makes Broadway tour stop in Columbus
What was the last show you saw at the Ohio Theatre? | Photo via Broadway in Columbus
The sun may be shining in Columbus, but snow is falling inside the Ohio Theatre starting this week — artificial snow, that is.
Disney’s “Frozen” is taking over the Ohio Theatre — located at 39 E. State St. — starting Wednesday, July 26-Sunday, Aug. 6. With a cast that is decorated with Tony Awards, this is a can’t-miss show for families (or Disney fans) who have “Let It Snow” as their top Spotify song each year. Here’s what you need to s-know before you go.
🎟 The basics
This show is two hours and 15 minutes long with one intermission. It’s intended for a general audience — but kids under two years old will not be permitted. Additionally, it uses various strobe lights and smoke machines, so caution is advised for those with sensory sensitivities.
Tickets range from $40-$150, depending on how close you want to be to the stage. Weekends offer the best chance for a matinee, and weekday shows typically start at 7:30 p.m.

📸 Worth a try
While no meet-and-greet is posted on the website, the official Disney website notes that actors and actresses can often be found near the stage door after performances. Meeting these talented performers isn’t guaranteed, and it’s recommended to ask an usher beforehand.
🎶 Updated playlist
Families will hear all the hits from the original film, plus 12 new songs written by award-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez + Robert Lopez. The two reportedly used inspiration from popular artists like Adele and Kelly Clarkson to help write these new tunes.
