Fun fact: San Francisco International Airport has direct flights from 88 US cities.
No. 2: Los Angeles
Going finds ~10 deals per month to LA — like Chicago to LA for $138 roundtrip.
Cocky’s Bagels, a Cleveland-based sandwich shop, is now open at 1484 N. High St. near The Ohio State University campus. Breakfast sandwiches are served all-day and range from the classic bacon, egg, and cheese to the upscale lox. City Editor Mitch previously visited the Cleveland location + confirms the hype.

Need some new scarlet and gray gear to sport in the gym? The Ohio State Buckeyes and Lululemon partnered to create an exclusive line of merch with custom Buckeye embroidery. These new digs go on sale Saturday, Aug. 26 at the Ohio State Bookstore.
Biz
Kings Electric Services, a Cincinnati-based company, is opening a Short North office at 875 N. High St. The move comes as the firm has multiple Columbus projects, such as the new Lucky’s Market and CVS. (Columbus Business First)

Battelle Darby Metro Park brought the great outdoors inside with its living creek. This 53-ft aquarium houses plants and animals from the Big and Little Darby creeks like fish, mussels, and turtles. The latest blog explains how these critters get here + how rangers survey the water.
Finance
Refinance rates are skyrocketing. But home equity rates remain relatively low — which means that now is a great time to borrow against your home. Calculate your payment.*

National sketch and improv group announces Columbus show in 2023
When was the last time you saw a live show? | Photo via Pexels
When a sketch group has previously featured the likes of John Belushi, Tina Fey, and Jason Sudekis — you can trust that they know how to make people laugh.
This is The Second City, a Chicago-born sketch and improv group. And, they will take over the Davidson Theatre — located at 77 S. High St. — on Friday, Nov. 17 at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.
The group has been performing for 60+ years now and has had many skits recreated on “Saturday Night Live.” We love a YouTube rabbit hole, so let’s take a look at some of their most recognizable hits:
Matt Foley — Before Chris Farley made the entire country laugh with this outlandish skit, he was performing this character with The Second City.
Wayne Campbell — Mike Myers perfected this character with this group before a movie (and a sequel) was ever a thought. Excellent.
It’s about that time, CBUS. We are in the midst of planning out our calendar for next month and on the hunt for the must-do events. Send them our way via email or through our events submission form. Pro tip: Send over past photos and videos of the event for a chance to be featured on theCBUStoday’s Instagram page.
