• Playa Bowls, a smoothie bowl chain, is opening a Dublin location at 6704 Perimeter Loop Rd. Expect smoothies, juices, bowls, and cold brews in a fast-food-style concept. An exact opening date hasn’t been announced. (614now)

• Burna Boy, a Grammy Award-winning Nigerian dancehall artist, is coming to Nationwide Arena on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024. Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 29 at 10 a.m.

• We attended Media Day for OSU’s men basketball team, and these are our key takeaways. Bruce Thornton is the emerging leader as the only returning captain; graduate transfers Dale Bonner + Jamison Battle have big potential; and the team is looking to grow after a rough last season.

• The Columbus Clippers partnered with The Buckeye Ranch, a nonprofit organization for kids and families, during the 2023 season. Fans pledged donations for each home run hit, and after 176 home runs this year, they were able to raise $40,000.

• Duke Energy recently selected a property in Liberty Township for inclusion in the company’s 2023 Site Readiness Program, which helps communities prepare sites to attract jobs and spur economic development.
