Local developer Casto proposed a mixed-use development with 458 apartment units and commercial space in Dublin. The 114-acre site would be called Avery Crossing if approved by the Dublin Planning & Zoning Commission. The first informal review will be Thursday, Oct. 12. (Columbus Business First)
Festival
The 6th annual Mac and Cheese Festival is Friday, Oct. 6 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at The Yard at Easton Town Center — 3989 Merchants Row. Try mac and cheese samples from 15+ restaurants, with proceeds benefiting adolescent and young adult cancer research at OSUCCC – James. Buy tickets.
Family
Boo at the Zoo is back at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium every weekend through the end of October. Dress up in your best Halloween costume, go trick-or-treating throughout the Zoo, watch giant pumpkin carvings, and enjoy more fall-themed activities for the whole family.
Coming Soon
Piazza Pelino — a new Italian sandwich and gelato concept from the owners of Pelino’s Pasta — is opening at 772 N. High St. in the Short North. The exact opening has yet to be announced. (614now)

If pizza and pasta are your love languages, you won’t want to miss Columbus Italian Festival this weekend.
What to expect
The family-friendly festival will run along E. Lincoln Street and will feature 25+ Italian food vendors, live music, and Italian games like bocce ball.
We suggest browsing the festival map before you go.
Timing up the action
The festival will run:
Friday, Oct. 6 from 6 to 10 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 7 from 12 to 11 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 8 from 12 to 7 p.m.
Tickets and parking
Tickets are $10 and are available online or at the entry gate. Children under 12 get in for free.
Free public parking is available at Columbus State Community College off of E. Spring Street. Shuttle buses will run from the parking lot to the festival.
Paid public parking is also available at State Library, 274 E. 1st Ave.
