Baseball season may be over, but the fun is just getting started at Huntington Park. Columbus Fall Brew Fest is taking over the outfield this weekend, and we have the details.
The basics
The 21+ beer festival kicks off Friday, Oct. 13. General admission tickets ($50) run from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. and early admission tickets ($65) grant an extra hour of beer specials from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Designated driver tickets are $20 cash at the door and do not include any alcohol samples.
What to expect
There will 50+ breweries in attendance offering samples of 150+ beers, including local favorites from Nocterra Brewing Co., Seventh Son Brewing Co., and Barley’s Brewing Company.
Festival-goers can also enjoy lawn games and a DJ, plus food concessions will be available.

Parking
There are 18,000+ parking spaces around Huntington Park, so no need to stress. Use our Arena District guide to find parking, dining, and information on the area’s DORA if you plan on making the most out of your Friday night.

Bada Bean Bada Booze, which operates as a coffee shop by day and bar by night, opened its second location at 527 W. 5th Ave. in Harrison West. Café hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily before the menu switches over for beer, wine, and cocktails until 10 p.m. (Columbus Business First)

Ahead of Spaghetti Warehouse’s new opening, the restaurant is hosting a “Savor the Memories” contest to share your favorite experiences at the spaghetti spot. Sports
The Buckeyes defeated Maryland 37-17 in Saturday’s game. OSU is now 5-0 and undefeated all-time against the Terrapins. The Buckeyes will gear up to hit the road and face Purdue on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 12 p.m.

The first Wendy’s opened in Columbus on November 15, 1969. Through the rise and fall of the sun rooms, the fast food chain remains headquartered here today.

The first BWW opened on OSU’s campus in 1982. The wing chain now has locations across the country, including 94 restaurants in Ohio.

This bath shop chain was founded in New Albany in 1990, and has now expanded to six continents. The headquarters is currently in Reynoldsburg.
Artists and bands
Rascal Flatts
Gary LeVox and Jay DeMarcus — the lead singer and bassist of the country group Rascal Flatts — are second cousins from Columbus. LeVox graduated from Olentangy High School and The Ohio State University.
