Columbus is on a hot streak — just ask Zillow.
The online real estate company released its hottest markets for 2024, and Columbus was ranked No. 3 in the US. The Buckeye State didn’t stop there — Cincinnati was ranked No. 2 + Cleveland earned the No. 8 slot.
“These should stand out as strong in a housing market still buffeted by low inventory and relatively high mortgage rates and prices,” explained the Zillow article. The article also noted that these cities have “solid economic fundamentals, relatively fast-moving for-sale housing inventory, plentiful likely buyers and expectations for stable home values.”
To design this list, Zillow conducted an analysis of forecast home value growth, recent housing market velocity and projected changes in the labor market, home construction activity, and number of homeowner households.
