True Columbusites instantly recognize this once familiar sight. | Photo via Wikicommons
We love covering new business openings, though we can’t help but be nostalgic for the ones that have closed.
Don’t get us wrong — we aren’t complaining. Instead, we are celebrating some of our favorite spots that were once in our favorite city, and we need your help.
What closed Columbus businesses do you miss the most? We asked our Instagram followers, and they didn’t disappoint with 300+ suggestions. But that’s not enough. We want all the deep cuts, so send us your shout outs.
Need inspiration? Here are a few throwbacks from our followers:
“Max and Erma’s. Not sure if it was a cbus exclusive but I miss it.” — @dylanpugh__
“City Center Mall! I always thought it was cool as a kid.” — @chrissy04_27
“Maggie Moo’s ice cream.. showing my age.” — @nerve_anna614
“Ambrose and Eve. The original The Sycamore. G.Michael’s. Wunderbar. The list goes on!” — @lofisam
A comfy fit to curl up in while it’s still sweatshirt and hoodie season. We love: this pink + lime crop by East of These and this Blue Ridge Parkway sweatshirt from Burlaep.
Looking back through the archives of closed CBUS businesses has me all kinds of nostalgic. There was something magnetic about that giant Max and Erma’s sign in Easton when I was a kid. Even if I was full, I wanted to go in.
