Spring Break returns soon for many Columbus-area schools, and it’s not too late to book a getaway. We’ve done the groundwork to make flying a breeze — all you have to do is pack your bags and board one of these affordable flights.

Development
  • The green parking lot at the John Glenn International Airport will undergo a $440,000+ expansion to better fit the needs of airport workers. This move will also make way for the new $2 billion terminal that replaces both the blue lot + cellphone lot. (Columbus Business First)

  • A 30,000-sqft experimental art museum is planned for downtown at the Audubon Park Offices. This science-based experience will be geared for adults and young adults rather than kids, said project officials. Construction could begin this year. (614now)
Civic
  • Columbus City Council approved budget amendments totaling $2 million for public safety. Targeted areas in the amendment include the Short North, which will receive $500,000. Some Short North business owners said these kinds of efforts are already making a difference. (10TV)

  • Congrats to Ohio State women’s basketball coach, Kevin McGuff. The fearless leader was named the 2024 Big Ten Coach of the Year after the Buckeyes finished No. 2 in the national rankings.   • There’s nothing better than free beer, and Dublin is offering it to anyone from Ireland for St. Patrick’s Day. Irish visitors must show a valid Ireland ID to the Dublin Visitor Center in order to qualify for the free refreshment. (The Columbus Dispatch)

  • Tye Tribbett, who won the 2024 Grammy for “Best Gospel Album,” is set to take over Mershon Audtorium on Wednesday, June 5. Tickets for the “Only One Night Tho” tour go on sale Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m.

  • ROOT23, a Columbus-based creator of simple syrups, is now selling their products on Six and Main, our online shop. It was made by two local moms, and syrup flavors range from pear rosemary to vanilla ginger.
