The Columbus Clippers home opener is tonight at Huntington Park, and we can already smell the pine tar. From 10-cent hot dogs to surprise celebrity appearances, there’s a lot of ballpark action that you’ll want to get a swing at.
Dime-A-Dog Nights
Every home game on Tuesday nights means one thing — 10-cent hot dogs for everyone (while supplies last, of course). Bonus: Watch us interview the fans with hard-hitting hot dog questions.
Fireworks
The Clippers will light up the sky with post-game fireworks (hopefully after a win) on the following nights:
Friday, May 31
Saturday, June 29
Friday, July 5
Saturday, July 27
Saturday, Aug. 24
Saturday, Sept. 14
Puppypalooza
On Wednesday, May 5 and Thursday, September 5, bring your dog to the ballpark + enjoy a pre-game puppy parade around the warning track of the field. Grab tickets and register now.
$5 Fridays
Every Friday home game, order a small beer or wine for just $5 each. Plus, a slice of Donatos Pizza and a soft drink is also $5 at the Donatos Dugout Stand.
Player interviews
City Editor Hanna will be out at the field interviewing the players again this season. Last year, she told pitcher Joey Cantillo’s story. This season, she’ll spotlight a new player in the Guardians farm system.
Plus, there’s room for some fun interviews, too. From finding out their favorite Taylor Swift song to discovering their most recent Google search, she’ll get the scoop on some unique questions. Be sure to drop question ideas below.
Believe it or not, this is just the first inning when it comes to promotion nights. There’s one for every home game this season, and you can review the full list here.
