June is almost here, which kicks off a month of celebrations and commemorations of LGBTQ+ communities. Stonewall Pride is hosting events nearly everyday this month, including a kick-off party on Saturday, June 1 from 12-5 p.m. at the Stonewall Columbus Community Center, located at 1160 N. High St.

InTown Golf Club, a members-only golf simulator, is now open in Dublin at 6620 Mooney St. The 15,000-sqft space features eight simulator bays and a putting green, as well as a fully stocked kitchen and bar. If you want to join, apply online. (614now)

Huey Magoo’s, a Florida-based chicken chain, is now open at 53 W. Wilson Bridge Rd. in Worthington. The restaurant is known for its various chicken tender options, ranging from fried to baked to grilled. It resides in a 2,400+ sqft-space and features a patio. (Columbus Business First)
Development
Two multi-story apartment complexes were pitched by local developers for plots of land on Broad Street + Town Street. If both are approved, it will add 149 units to the area. Both require more discussions with city leaders, but initial conversations have been positive. (NBC4)
Eat
Taco Week is back in Columbus from Monday, June 3-Saturday, June 8, featuring $2 tacos at popular local restaurants. Some participating spots include Agave & Rye, Cazuela’s, and El Vaquero. Proceeds support Feed The Kids Columbus, a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring food-insecure children have access to food.
Biz
The Columbus Chamber of Commerce created a new financial program to assist refugee and immigrant businesses in the city. While full details are still being ironed out, the Chamber wants to focus on four major areas: Employee development, business assistance, supplier networking, and support resources. Summer is nearly here, and we are eager to get these shows on the road.
The Common Ground Concert Series is a new collaboration between Downtown Columbus Inc., CAPA, and the Columbus Commons. It’s bringing two free concerts to the Commons this summer, and here’s what you can expect.
Gavin DeGraw + Colbie Caillat
These two pop stars from the 2000s will take over on Sunday, June 30. The fun begins at 5 p.m. with food trucks + drinks, and the music starts at 7 p.m. Free tickets are required, and they become available on Wednesday, June 5 to the public. A total of 8,000 tickets will be released.
Sugar Ray, Tonic, and Lit
More nostalgic bands are performing on Sunday, Aug. 25. Just like the previous one, food trucks start at 5 p.m. + music begins at 7 p.m. Free tickets become available to the public on Wednesday, June 31.
