This time next year, there could be a new winery in Old Hilliard at the corner of Grant and Franklin. This placement is within the city’s DORA .

Joe and Jennifer Hollabaugh, who are developing the 4,300-sqft winery with a 700-sqft covered patio, describe their approach as urban. This means raw ingredients like grapes and juice will be shipped in, but wine will be manufactured, sold, and sampled on-site.

Half of the large winery space will be used to manufacture the wine, and guests will be able to watch the winemaking process. The other half of the space will be used for tastings and light bites like charcuterie boards and breads.

The Hilliard Planning and Zoning Commission met last night to discuss reducing the required number of parking spaces, which will be mandatory before the project can advance.
