Resources for Columbus City School parents during virtual learning

If you are a parent + feeling a bit overwhelmed by the recent switch to online learning for Columbus City School students, we’re here to help. Or, more accurately, Columbus Recreation and Parks is here to help.

Starting today through Friday, CCS students + parents are invited to one of nine different parks where free support centers will be set up. Select centers will be open from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. and all other community centers will be open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. These community centers offer free wifi so students can access their online schoolwork in a safe + quiet environment under adult supervision.

Not sure where to take your little learners? Here are the centers with extended hours.

The Columbus Dispatch reported all CCS students are able to get free breakfast + lunch during this time. A total of 25 designated schools will offer a grab-and-go system where students can pick up their lunch on Thursday, plus their breakfast for Friday, between 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
