Columbus Commons events this spring and summer

The downtown Columbus, OH park will feature free concerts, group workout classes, food trucks, carousel rides, and movie nights throughout the spring and summer.

The Columbus Commons is a six-acre park downtown with a jam-packed events schedule for 2023. From free concerts to outdoor workout classes, here’s what’s planned at the park.

Food trucks

Breakfast: Every Wednesday through October you can start your morning with Biscuit Boss, Broke Johnny, or The Galaxy Coffee from 7:30-10:30 a.m.

Lunch: Every Thursday through October, grab lunch on the Commons from eight different food trucks from 11 am.-2 p.m. Seating will be available, or you can order in advance with the Street Food Finder.

Concerts

Picnic with the Pops: Starting Saturday, June 18, catch popular entertainers performing with the Columbus Symphony, including the Grammy Award-winner Ne-Yo and The Ohio State University Marching Band.

Free community concerts: Martina McBride is coming to the Commons on Sunday, July 9 and free tickets will be available starting Wednesday, June 14. Boyz II Men will also put on a free show on Friday, Aug. 25, and you can reserve tickets starting Wednesday, July 26 at 10 a.m.

Fitness classes

Through September, enjoy free fitness classes on the North Lawn. Every Tuesday, try yoga from 5:30-6:20 p.m. and 6:30-7:20 p.m. and every Wednesday, take a cardio class from 5:30-6:20 p.m. or yoga from 6:30-7:20 p.m.

Commons for Kids

From Friday, June 9-Friday, Aug. 11, take your kids to the Commons every Friday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. for free carousel rides, inflatables, and kid-friendly activities.
