Columbus Metro Parks hosts family-friendly fall festival in October

Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks will host Fall Fest with hay rides, corn mazes, crafts, and more.

Columbus Metro Parks is celebrating 75 years and wants to share the fun with the community it continues to grow with.

The local outdoor agency hosts Fall Fest on Saturday, Oct. 14 at Slate Run Metro Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Find the festivities at the Buzzard’s Roost Picnic Area, located next to the covered bridge near Duvall Road.
  • Adult-friendly activities include live music, archery, and food trucks.
  • Kid-friendly activities include hay rides, corn mazes, crafts, and games.
  • Families can also make s’mores, explore pumpkin patches, and learn about the historic farm.
