Taylor Swift is bringing her Eras Tour to Cincinnati, and Ohio lawmakers are thanking her by proposing to make Saturday, July 1 “Taylor Swift Day” across the state.

When we first broke the news, we received 1,000+ responses. Some shared excitement, others expressed disapproval, and a few offered suggestions for other days we should observe in honor of Ohio heroes.

We decided to come up with a few days of our own:

  • “Guy Fieri Day” — January 22: To celebrate the birthday of the Columbus native who is a Food Network star.
  • “LeBron James Day” — July 11: To honor the day the Ohio-born basketball legend announced his return to Cleveland before eventually leading the Cavaliers to an NBA championship.
  • “Neil Armstrong Day” — July 20: To recognize the Ohio local for the day he became the first man on the moon.

We want to hear your thoughts on “Taylor Swift Day” and any new suggestions you have. Send them our way.
