As the summer begins in Columbus, government officials are hoping the community will rise up.

That’s how this community meet-up, Rise Up CBUS!, got its name at least. Hosted by the City of Columbus, Rise Up CBUS! is a chance for community members to mingle with each other, enjoy free refreshments, and discover local resources nearby.

The season kicked off in April, but the next meeting is today at Driving Park from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Mayor Andrew J. Ginther will be on hand to deliver a speech, and other local agencies will be available with packets of information.

Can’t make it this time? No worries — take a peek at the full schedule here and plan your visit for later this summer.
