Hispanic Heritage Month is in its final week and it’s going out with a bang in Columbus thanks to Hispanic Restaurant Week.

The festivities officially kicked off yesterday, but the fun doesn’t stop until Sun., Oct. 16. Find 20 local Latin restaurants offering discounted three-course meals + special menus. Here are a few that will take your taste buds around the world without costing a plane ticket.

  • Barroluco, 47 N. Pearl St. | Looking for a quick lunch? Try a selection of Argentinian food including empanadas, paella, and churros.
  • Las Tapias Birria, 530 Norton Rd. | Great food comes in all sizes, including food trucks. Taste these trendy tacos from Mexico which comes with consomé, a flavorful broth with onions, cilantro, and chilies for dipping your tacos.
  • Don Tequila, Multiple locations | Take a trip to Venezuela with the Venezuela patacón, a fried plantain with cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, avocado, and your choice of protein. City Editor Mitch recommends this as the vegetarian version is a sneakily disguised salad.
  • Pablo’s Havana Café, 9685 Sawmill Rd. | Get your hands on a Cuban sandwich piled high with roasted pork, honey ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard.
  • El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant, Multiple locations | Stop by one of nine locations to find Mexican dishes like carne asada from this local staple.

Beyond Hispanic Restaurant Week, stop by Diálogos at Franklin Park Conservatory from now until Sun., Nov. 20. FPC will feature the works of seven local Latinx artists in this exhibit.
