Celebrate autumn by playing, dancing, drinking, and eating at Oktoberfests across the city. While some celebrations have passed, we have the details on four upcoming Oktoberfests you don’t want to miss.
Head to Zaftig Brewing Co. on Sat., Sept. 17 from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. for a special Oktoberfest beer on tap, costume contests for humans and pets, and live music. Plus, flex your muscles for a stein-holding competition and a keg-rolling competition.
On Thurs., Sept. 22 from 5:30-9 p.m., Franklin Park Conservatory will be open to those 21+ for German-style beers, ciders, German food, trivia and live performances. You can reserve your ticket online.
Combustion Brewery & Taproom is playing host to this Oktoberfest celebration on Fri., Sept. 23 from 3-10 p.m. + Sat., Sept. 24 from 12-10 p.m. Enjoy this free, family-friendly festival with food trucks, children’s games, food trucks + German-themed contests.
Make the most of Sun., Sept. 25 with a jam-packed Oktoberfest events schedule in Old Worthington. Enjoy free yoga classes, photo booths, henna and face paintings, food trucks, and art activities like a DIY knit pumpkin.

We previously shared that The Light of Seven Matchsticks is closing, but it has now been announced that Natalie’s Coal-Fired Pizza and Live Music, which operates above The Light of Seven Matchsticks, has also been put on the market. This sale is in attempts to expand Natalie’s in Worthington.

OSU star receiver, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, is expected to play against Toledo after not playing against Arkansas State due to a hamstring injury. Are you a Giant Eagle shopper?On Thurs., Oct. 20, two dozen Columbus-area Giant Eagle stores will be removing all single-use plastic bags in an effort to build a greener community.
