  • Porter’s Coffee House and Bakery’s Pumpkin Cake Crumble Cheesecake — This seasonal dessert comes highly recommended from our reader Jennifer S. + she pairs it with the Cinderella Pumpkin Latte.
  • Patty Cake Bakery’s Pumpkin Whoopie Pie + Pumpkin Walnut Muffin — The whoopie pie has a whole grain exterior and a spice filling + the muffin is dubbed their “healthiest” muffin made with pumpkin cake.

🍦 Pumpkin ice cream

  • Simply Rolled Ice Cream’s Pumpkin Pie Roll — This seasonal treat has a vanilla ice cream base with a slice of pumpkin pie mixed in + a sprinkle cinnamon on top.

The Buckeyes “blacked out” the Badgers

Ohio State football

The Buckeyes scored twice within the first six minutes and six seconds of Saturday’s gamebut the feeling of electricity in The Shoe started long before that.

We stepped onto the sidelines to preview the game + stayed there during pre-game. We were instantly hit with sights and sounds of tradition, community, and pride. O-H-I-O was chanted across the stadium while cheerleaders, fans, Brutus Buckeye, and the players were wearing all black.

By the time TBDBITL dotted the “I” in Script Ohio, the energy was undeniable. It translated to the players’ performances as C.J. Stroud + Cade Stover partnered up for the first two touchdowns of the game — and Stover’s first two touchdowns ever as he literally flipped into the end zone.

OSU didn’t stop there — not even close. They finished with a 52-21 victory. And they’ll be back at it in The Shoe next Saturday for homecoming. Go Bucks. 🏈
THE WRAP
Hanna Williford in a white turtleneck sweater

Today’s issue was written by City Editor Hanna.

Editor’s pick: I have two editor’s picks for today after spending Saturday at The Shoe.

1. Remember our Q+A with Matt “Big Matt” Leininger? I think his presence at football games makes all the difference + if you make it to a game, look for him on the scoreboard with a red microphone.

2. TBDBITL‘s “Grease” halftime performance might be my favorite yet.
