In the spirit of supporting all things local, we’ve rounded up 10 farmers markets in the Columbus area where you’ll find fresh food, live music, and local vendors.

German Village Makers Market | Select Sundays from April-December | 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Features: The artisan market has 65+ vendors and food trucks.
  • Parking: Park on German Village side streets for free on Sundays.
  • Space: Corner of City Park and Thurman Avenue
Clintonville Farmers Market | Saturdays from April 29-November 18 | 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • Features: Shop foods locally grown from 50+ farmers across the state.

  • US Department of Transportation officials shared updates regarding an Amtrak station in Columbus, teasing, “We might have some good news for you soon.” If plans fall into place, trains could be up and running by 2030. (Columbus Business First)

  • Congrats to Kirill Marchenko, who broke the Columbus Blue Jackets record for most goals as a rookie with 21. Marchenko scored the record-breaking and game-winning goal in overtime in front of the home crowd on Sunday.

The world is your runway...or the runway can be your racepath at the John Glenn International Runway 5K Run & Walk.

On Saturday, Sept. 16 at 9 a.m., you can race along the runway at the north side of the airport. Not only will you get to enjoy amazing views of flights taking off, but you’ll also receive a race medal, race t-shirt, and a swag bag.

Plus, you’ll be running for a cause, as proceeds will go towards Honor Flight Columbus. The organization celebrates senior veterans + the 2023 goal will be to fund a full flight for the veterans.

Only 1,500 racers will be permitted, so it’s recommend to sign up ASAP. Registration is $50 and is open now.
