Who said movie night means sitting on the couch? In Columbus, the best seat in the city is under the stars — and that’s why you should keep these five outdoor movie nights in mind this year.
Stop by the local brewery‘s beer garden each Tuesday from now until Oct. 31 for trivia hosted by Travis Hoewischer followed by a movie. Each film is typically a nostalgic classic + you can find out what’s being played by following the secret Instagram account.
The Columbus Commons has it all this season — including family-friendly movies. Check out the schedule for these once-a-month free screenings which includes “Moana” on Saturday, May 27 at 8 p.m.
Families can watch a kid-friendly movie in the Easton Town Square lawn each week June. The first film is “Lightyear”on Tuesday, June 6 at 8 p.m. Blankets, chairs, and snacks are recommended.

While season passes sold out in less than two minutes this year, individual tickets to fall movies will be available this summer. You’ll have to leave the kids at home as this is a 21+ event. Options this summer include “Juno” and “Wedding Crashers” + food trucks like Dos Hermanos.
This local favorite has already hosted multiple movies, including blockbuster hits like “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,”or the latest horror-thriller “Evil Dead Rise.” Stay tuned for more movies announced in June, July, and August.

Columbus Recreation and Parks will host Dorrian Days every Tuesday starting June 13-Aug. 15. Each week, families can visit Dorrian Green to find inflatables, performances, and a spray fountain from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Clint Black, a country musician from the 1980s, + Emily Ann Roberts, an up-and-coming country singer, were announced as headliners for the Ohio State Fair’s concert on Thursday, July 27. Plan your week and find tickets here.
Edu
The Ohio State University President Kristina M. Johnson finished her last day in office + now the hunt is on for a replacement. Until then, officials said executives will work with the Board of Trustees on future decisions. (The Columbus Dispatch)

After a brief hiatus, Ohio Vintage Expo is back with 70+ local vendors at the Lausche Building on Saturday, May 20. Shop for vintage Buckeyes, Browns, or Bengals gear, or pick up classic apparel from different decades.
