Soon Columbusites will be able to drink a Boat Show IPA without having to ship off to Yellow Springs.
Yellow Springs Brewery is opening a new location in Clintonville at 2855 Indianola Ave., formerly The Crest. A concrete opening date will be announced later this week, according to the brewery’s Instagram, and we’re cracking into what you can expect.
YSB in CBUS
The owners took their time with the new location, carefully planning for more than a year before making a decision. It makes sense — this will be the first time the brewery will expand outside of Yellow Springs.
Quick turnaround
The Crest moved out of the location on Sept. 2, and construction crews have been busy with light remodeling. If you are familiar with the area, you may recognize the industrial roof that still remains. The interior also received minor changes, but mostly maintains the atmosphere of The Crest.

New to the menu
This location will not brew beers, but it does feature a kitchen, which is a YSB first. The owners described the menu as high-quality “tavern” classics with options like hamburgers, hot dogs, and fries.
Don’t forget the drinks
The Clintonville taproom will feature 20 drafts, non-alcoholic beers, and to-go cans. Other drinks include cocktails, ciders, seltzers, sours, and bottles of wine.
Can’t wait?
Take the hour drive to Yellow Springs to experience the original taproom at 305 Walnut St., or the barrel room at 1475 Xenia Ave.
