Who knew there were so many talented photographers in Columbus? You all submitted 40+ photos for our 2023 Picture of the Year contest and — we must admit — narrowing it down to just three finalists was tough. See the finalists below and then vote for your favorite.

Witches’ Float

Zoom in on the iconic Scioto Mile (located above) to see witches on kayaks. This picture captured the annual witches paddle down the Scioto for Halloween. It doesn’t get much more local than that.

We love that this photo showcases children in awe of the beauty at the Columbus Park of Roses, which is a 13-acre park filled with budding roses.

Block O Sunsets

The simplicity and sheer beauty of this sunset caught our eyes, partnered with the perfect localization of the Block O, letting us know we’re home in Columbus.

Voting closes Sunday, Jan. 28 — so be sure to vote for the photo you think should be crowned the winner of the inaugural CBUStoday Picture of the Year contest. Pssst — don’t forget that the winner will receive a $25 gift card to use at our online marketplace, Six & Main.
