The Buckeyes woke up and smelled the roses. Here’s what you need to know about the 41-21 takedown of the Ducks, and what’s next for the Bucks.

Recapping the Rose Bowl

After a hot start due to a Jeremiah Smith touchdown within the first minute of the game, the Buckeyes never let up on Oregon.

Smith was electric out of the gate, setting OSU’s freshman single-game receiving yards record with 187 yards, in addition to seven catches and two touchdowns. Rightfully so, he was named the Offensive MVP.

Defensively, Cody Simon was named MVP with 11 tackles, two sacks, and three tackles for loss.
