Recapping the Rose Bowl
After a hot start due to a Jeremiah Smith touchdown within the first minute of the game, the Buckeyes never let up on Oregon.
Smith was electric out of the gate, setting OSU’s freshman single-game receiving yards record with 187 yards in addition to seven catches and two touchdowns. Rightfully so, he was named the Offensive MVP.
Defensively, Cody Simon was named MVP with 11 tackles, two sacks, and three tackles for loss.

Cotton Bowl coming up
The job is not done — Ohio State will head to Dallas for the Cotton Bowl Classic on Friday, Jan. 10 to face Texas. The winner will advance to the national championship on Monday, Jan. 20.
