No need to head out west to hit the slopes this winter. With a ~50-minute drive, you can ski, snowboard, or tube at Mad River Mountain andSnow Trails. Grab your gear and get ready, because it’s all downhill from here.
Mad River Mountain
As the largest ski resort in Ohio, this Zanesfield mountain is open for the winter. Here’s some need-to-know info before you go.
Lift tickets can be reserved online in advance.
View the trail map to find difficulty levels of different trails and lifts.
Adult, children, and private lessons are available to book online for beginners.
There’s nearby lodging available if you plan to stay overnight.

The Bogey Inn is being transformed into an entertainment space with a 27-hole putting course. The concept comes from the owners of 16-Bit Bar+Arcade and Pins Mechanical Co. It will open in summer 2026 without a name change — The Bogey Inn remains. (614now)
