Post of the Day

CBUStoday Columbus Zoo elephant POD
There’s a (baby) elephant in the room and we can’t ignore it any longer.

Columbus, say hello to the newest and youngest Asian Elephant at the Columbus Zoo. It was born on July 23, which is impeccable timing considering August is Asian Elephant Awareness month. Safe to say, this calf’s birthday is getting stretched into a birth month, maybe more.

Plus, our zoo is busy with elephant conservation efforts. Check out this blog post explaining the facility’s international and local efforts to make sure Asian Elephants are thriving.
