While an opening date for Cobra Columbus hasn’t been announced, the community can soon get a taste of what this cocktail bar will have to offer in the future.

Starting this Sunday, Feb. 19 + rolling throughout the year is Sunday Slurp — a local gathering of food + drinks in support of Cobra as it aims to open its first brick-and-mortar location. Each week, Cobra will host a Slurp at a local business, with Woodhouse Vegan starting off the season.

What is Cobra? It will be late night bar that highlights handcrafted cocktails + offers a kitchen that stays open until 2 a.m., per an interview with Columbus Monthly. It was co-founded by four former Watershed Kitchen & Bar employees: Alex Chein, David Yee, Jack Dale Bennett Jr., and Josh Spiers.
