Beep, beep, beep. That’s the sound of our digital forklift delivering some changes and improvements for CBUStoday. Since December 2020, we’ve made it our mission to bring you the most relevant news, events, and updates to become a more engaged citizen + enjoy absolutely everything that Columbus has to offer.

Like our city, we’re growing each and every day — and to make sure we’re keeping up with it all, our team needed to build some new infrastructure. (Think of it like the start of something new like Intel in New Albany, or the Hilton Downtown becoming the tallest hotel in Ohio.)

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be putting on a fresh coat of paint — mostly on the back end. As with all major projects, we anticipate a few bumps along the way and we ask for your patience if you experience any technical difficulties receiving our newsletter. Pro tip: one way to help ensure delivery is by adding hello@thecbustoday.com to your contact list (instructions are available here).

As part of this transition, we’ll also be putting a temporary hold on our rewards and referral program. If you have points available you’ll still be able to redeem them here, this simply means we’re putting a pause on the ability to actively collect new points. We look forward to sharing a new and improved rewards and referral program with you soon.

Our robot friends are juggling a lot right now, and we’re hoping for a mostly seamless transition. When it’s all wrapped up, here’s what you can expect:

  • Regular deliveries. We’ll still be in your inbox at 6 a.m. each day with local conversations that we know you’ll love.
  • A refreshed look on the website. While our newsletter is staying mostly the same, we’re bringing you a completely new user experience at cbustoday.6amcity.com.
  • More opportunities to engage with us. Be on the lookout for additional prompts, polls, quizzes, and more to keep you fully up-to-date on what’s happening in Columbus.
  • Some party favors and surprises. We’re still working out the details of a few things, but we’re confident you’ll like what we have coming.

If you notice any issues that persist past September 15, please send us an email. And as always, if you see anything that doesn’t look quite right, have feedback for ways we can continue to improve, or simply want to say hello, please drop us a line by clicking the button below.
