If you think fall is the best season of all, you have that in common with City Editor Hanna. To show some love for her favorite time of year, she’s put together some activities, restaurants, and experiences to fill your weekend with fall.

Start with a stroll 🍂

Leaves are finally starting to change (and you can stay up to date with this fall color map) which means it’s the perfect time to put on your walking shoes and take in the scenery. Here are Hanna’s top picks for an autumn adventure with scenic fall foliage:

VASO

Get fired up 🔥

To Hanna, fall and fires go hand-in-hand. She suggests grabbing a drink or appetizer and sitting on the patio or rooftop by these outdoor fires.

Pro tip: Although the Hilton Columbus Downtown development is not complete, its newest restaurant FYR will take reservations starting Fri., Oct. 14. With fire incorporated into every meal through a wood-fired grill, this is another great way to heat up as the weather cools down.

Milkshakes

Have a fall feast 🍎

In addition to our pumpkin flavors guide, here are some more local picks to satisfy your seasonal cravings:

  • Browse produce and specialty items like jams, pies, and syrups from the market at Lynd Fruit Farm.
  • The Yard Milkshake Bar has three October specials (which are very Instagrammable) that feature tasty treats like pumpkin donuts, spellbook brownies, an edible cookie dough gravestone, and candy eyeballs.
