An exciting outdoor concept is planned for Westerville deemed “Edge Adventure Park.” From ropes courses to frisbee golf, here’s what’s planned for the 10.5-acre park.

📍 Location

The park was proposed to be between Vesper Way and Cleveland Avenue in Westerville. The Delaware County spot would be located along the bank of Alum Creek on the western side, which would allow activation of one of the Rapid 5 corridors. Rapid 5 works to easily connect people from roadways to waterways.

🛶 Amenities

Per the City of Westerville, some potential recreational and adventurous amenities include:

  • A ropes course with a variety of difficulty levels
  • Tree swings
  • Frisbee golf
  • A fitness circuit and stair climbing
  • Sledding and fishing (seasonal)
  • A children’s garden
  • View tower for birding
  • Fire pits
  • Kayaking and other water access to Alum Creek
  • Zip lining

Additionally, a variety of trails will run throughout the park for biking, walking, and connections to the Alum Creek Trail.

🏗️ Project development

Westerville is planning to spend $2 million on the park, and the state has provided a $300,000 grant as well. All funding will complete environmental mitigation, which offsets impacts the project will have on natural resources. Construction will likely begin later this year.
