We can’t talk about pumpkins in central Ohio without talking about the pump-kings + queens south of the city in Circleville.
The Circleville Pumpkin Show, which takes place Wed., Oct. 19-Sat., Oct. 22, is where the true pumpkin aficionados come to flex. Everything from pumpkin-themed pageants to pumpkin parades are on display, making this is the quintessential central Ohio fall event.
But the true star of the five-day festival is the giant pumpkin contest. This is where farmers grow their gourd to the extreme with past entries weighing in at 1,800+ lbs. Check out this gallery to get a glimpse.
