Last month, we gave you a date night guide in Worthington, but this month we want to switch it up a bit. You’ll still find food, drinks, and an activity, but this time we are focusing on places to check out during the day.
In this edition of the summer date guide, we’re going to the Short North and it’s completely walkable (0.4 miles in total) after parking.
Activity 🎾
Tennis at Goodale Park, 120 W. Goodale St.
Grab two tennis racquets + extra tennis balls and head to Goodale Park to play on one of its six available courts. If you need gear, stop by Tennis Ltd. in Upper Arlington (12 minutes away) to stock up on everything you need.
Pro tips: We recommend parking in the free parking lot located next to the courts on Dennison Avenue. Plus, if you fall in love with the sport, check out these local tennis spots.
Drinks ☕️
Coffee at Roaming Goat Coffee, 849 N. High St.
Recharge with a horchata milkshake latte or cold brew, at this local coffee roaster just across the street from our food spot. Indoor seating is back at Roaming Goat + Prologue Book, a local bookseller, is right next door for anyone looking for an extended and cozy break.
Food 🌭
Korean corn dogs at Myungrang Hotdog Columbus, 850 N. High St.
These aren’t the typical corn dogs you’ll find at the fair — these are filled with gooey cheese + breaded in extra crispy potatoes. Choose from a variety of dipping sauces — we recommend the mustard cheese sauce — and enjoy your meal at the Italian Village Park, just around the corner on E. Hubbard Avenue.
