Sometimes secrets are worth sharing + when it comes to Don’t Tell Comedy , the word is starting to get out.

Don’t Tell Comedy is one of the newest comedy scenes in Columbus, bringing pop-up style shows to a variety of stages across the city. The hook here is secrecy, as the comedians + locations aren’t disclosed until you buy your ticket.

If that has you hesitant, take a look at some of the past performers, which range from local favorites to rising stars with HBO specials:

  • Ian Lara , a comic from New York, performed for a packed house fresh off the success of his HBO special, “Romantic Comedy .”
  • Amber Falter, a beloved local comedian + organizer within the scene, was one of many comics at this show that also featured a live band at Milo Arts .
  • Jason Banks , comedian from Columbus with 1.3 million Instagram followers, headlined in the Short North last year.

Locations come in all different sizes, too. According to its website, anything from a rock climbing gym to a historic mansion is fair game when it comes to hosting sites. This March promises indoor locations within the Short North Arts District , however, the exact location isn’t named. You’ll get a text the morning of the show with the name of the location + you can bring your own beer and snacks.

Speaking of shows, here’s a look at what to expect in the coming weeks:

  • Friday, March 17 | 7 p.m. + 9:30 p.m.
  • Saturday March 18 | 9:30 p.m.
