As the holidays approach, a local tradition + spectacle is lighting up Nationwide Children’s Hospital .

Light Up the Lawn, Light Up a Life is a campaign where dozens of large butterfly displays flocked their way onto the lawn. Whenever a $10+ donation is made, these butterflies light up, giving pediatric patients and families a unique light show.

Donations can be made online , and they will be accepted until Sunday, Dec. 31. Here are added perks for patients and staff:

  • $100: A blue butterfly pillow and cheer card will be delivered to one patient.
  • $500: Five blue butterfly pillows and cheer cards will be delivered to five patients.
  • $1,000: Sponsor an 18-inch blue butterfly table and have a sweet treat basket delivered to a staff workstation.

Nationwide Children’s CEO Tim Robinson said these donations will be used to support the life-saving work. He also hopes this brings some added holiday spirit to the hospital for those who are unable to be home for the holidays.
