Weâre hearing 2023 is the year of the rabbit, but here in Columbus, itâs the year of canât-miss shows. These performers need no introduction; here are 20 concerts and comedians heading our way.

Columbus Public Health was awarded a $9 million grant from the CDC which will be paid out over the course of five years. Much of this money will be used to support CPH efforts+ retain current employees and add new ones after the difficulties presented by the pandemic. đ° (NBC4)

Itâs electric. COTA just purchased 14 zero-emission buses in an effort to meet eco-friendly goals set for 2035 and 2045. These battery powered buses were designed by NFI Group, a Canada-based bus manufacturer, with each vehicle eliminating 135 metric tons of greenhouse gases per year compared to diesel. âĄïž
Opening
Get ready to sip a beer at Jackie Oâs as the recently remodeled brewery is set to open in March. This location replaces the former Elevator Brewing taproom on N. Fourth Street + will offer 6,000 sqft of space, including a multi-story outdoor patio. đ» (Columbus Business First)
Closed
Goody Boy Burger Club, a local restaurant in the Short North for 75 years, is now closed. The location is currently owned by One Hospitality, which plans to design a new concept + open in the same location. The exact plans for the new restaurant have not been released. (614now)
Sports
Tristan Gebbia, a seventh-year quarterback, isnât done playing college football just yet. Tristan transferred from Oregon State and will serve as a backup on next yearâs Ohio State football squad. After C.J. Stroud declared for the NFL Draft, experts predict Gebbia to bring a veteran presence to a locker room with young quarterbacks. đ (Eleven Warriors)
At the start of February, the Ohio State menâs and womenâs lacrosse teams will start their seasons in a brand new, state-of-the-art stadium. The field features heated turf + the surrounding seats offer a 360Âș view of the action for each home game. Get tickets here.

From foraging around Columbus to exploring California with Jimmy Kimmel, Alexis Nikole Nelson is planting roots as a social media star.
Alexis, known by her social media nickname the Black Forager, is an influencer from Columbus + was just featured on âJimmy Kimmel Live!â on Tuesday, Jan. 17. Sheâs best known for finding native plant species + showing ways to safely eat these unsuspecting foods like seeds or flowers.
With the recent string of rain in California, Jimmy + his lovable partner Guillermo invited Alexis out to teach them how to forage. Weâve got the full clip right here, but be warned. Thereâs at least one foraged food these two City Editors in Columbus will not be eating.
