Making posts for Instagram is a labor of love for City Editors Mitch and Hanna. And when it comes down to it, these are the posts they love the most:
  • City Editor Mitch: When Pokémon came to Columbus. It was a blast to relive the nostalgia of my childhood, especially on my home turf.
  • City Editor Hanna: Interviewing the people of CBUS in “Hot Takes with Hanna” segments. I love grabbing the microphone and hearing from the people who make the city so special.

The food trucks are rolling into Hilliard this weekend, and you should too.

The Columbus Food Truck Festival is Saturday, Aug. 19-Sunday, Aug. 20 at the Franklin County Fairgrounds. Food is just the tip of the iceberg (lettuce) at this two-day fest — here’s what you need to know.

Parking lot party

A total of 50 trucks are on the lineup, and they will be firing up their engines at 11 a.m. Advance tickets are $5, or $7 if purchased the day of the event. Tickets are required for adults, and children younger than 12 get in free.

Get thrifty

A newcomer has joined the festival: The Columbus Vintage Exchange. Shop local vendors selling vintage clothes, decor, and media.

Truck tunes

Do you prefer a rocking show or a quieter set? Stop by the main stage at 11 a.m. for the former or the acoustic stage at 3 p.m. for the latter.

From the editor
I had to run to the BMV last weekend and ended up eating breakfast at the HoneyDip Donut & Diner. If you are ever on Kenny Road and need a quick, local, and delicious meal, I can’t recommend it enough. Plus, you have to get some jelly donuts to-go.
