No need to head out west to hit the slopes this winter. With a ~50-minute drive, you can ski, snowboard, or tube at Mad River Mountain andSnow Trails. Grab your gear and get ready, because it’s all downhill from here.

As the largest ski resort in Ohio, this Zanesfield mountain is opening soon for the winter season. Here’s some need-to-know info before you say ski you later.
“Team Blizzard” is getting the mountain ready, and lift tickets are already available online for a tentative opening on Saturday, Dec. 16 (daytime availability) and Tuesday, Dec. 26 (night skiing).

Adult lessons, children’s lessons, and private lessons are available to book online.

The opening date for Snow Trails, located in Mansfield, is weather dependent. Here’s what you should keep on your radar this season:
Bookings for skiing must be made 48 hours in advance, and they are open for January and February, 2024. December dates will open as soon as opening day is announced.
Glow tubing will be available Thursday-Sunday in lit-up lanes + sells out quickly.
There are five upcoming nights of live entertainment starting Saturday, Dec. 16.
