Is 9 a.m. too early for popcorn? We’re only asking because a CBUS nonprofit will be stealing the spotlight on a well-known morning show this week.

LC Johnson, founder + CEO of Zora’s House , will be featured on “The Kelly Clarkson Show ” on Wednesday, February 28 at 9 a.m. Here’s what you need to know about the local nonprofit:

Zora’s House was created in 2018. It was formed by women of color as an inclusive community hub for both women of color + gender-expansive people of color. Since opening, it has served 3,000+ community members in its space on Summit Street and as a provider of resources.

Currently, the nonprofit is in its fundraising mode as it builds a new headquarters in Weinland Park. This new location will be five times the size of the original HQ, and you can learn more via our past coverage.
