Santos just opened as a rebranded version of Chophouse614 in the Short North, and we stopped in to give it a try. The same pink decor remained, but fun, Instagrammable signs were added throughout the restaurant, making it a great spot for your next night out.
While some staples stayed on the menu, like the steaks, other items like the street tacos and the tequila-based drink menu are new additions. Here’s what we tried:
🍸 Drinks
- White Orchid Martini — served with an edible flower
- Lycheetini — fruity and sweet, but strong
- Spicy Tango — a spicy mezcal finish
- Kentucky Lemonade — made with bourbon and ginger ale
🍽️ Dinner
- Trio combo — salsa, queso, and housemade guacamole (which was our favorite) served with chips
- Chicken street tacos — two tacos served with sauteed chicken and Mexican street corn
- BBQ jalapeno flatbread — sweet and tangy sauce with a kick
