The night started with an O-H chant from OSU’s biggest cheerleader and ended with confetti dropping from the ceiling and big celebrations.

The Buckeyes women’s basketball team won the Big Ten Conference outright on Wednesday evening with a 67-51 victory against Michigan. Fifth-year senior guard Jacy Sheldon led the way with a game-high 22 points. Remember that O-H chant? It came from her little sister.

Ohio State still has one game left of the regular season — a road trip to Iowa to face the Hawkeyes, who they previously defeated at home. Non-general admission tickets are going for nearly $500, and ESPN’s College GameDay will be on-site for the faceoff. However, despite the spotlight surrounding this game, the outcome of this won’t affect OSU’s Big Ten champion status.

Given the No. 2 national ranking for the Bucks, it’s highly likely that the first round of the NCAA tournament will be played at the Schottenstein Center.
