This Friday, Nov. 11 is Veterans Day. Many local organizations will host ceremonies, events, and deals to honor those who have served in the US Armed Forces + active military members, along with their families.

Here are some of the local Veterans Day offerings happening throughout the community:

Events

  • Veterans Parade | Thursday, Nov. 10 | 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. | Ohio Statehouse, 1 Capitol Square | Free | The 1st Ohio Light Artillery, Battery A will fire a Civil War cannon three times to signal the start of the march.
  • Veterans Memorial Dedication | Friday, Nov. 11 | 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. | Westerville Veterans Memorial, 325 N. Cleveland Ave. | Free | The dedication includes the VFW Color Guard + a 21 volley salute.
  • Veterans Day Ceremony | Friday, Nov. 11 | 11 a.m. | National Veterans Memorial and Museum | Free | Though this is sold out for in-person, virtual viewing options will be available + the museum will be open for tours.
  • Veterans Day Celebration | Friday, Nov. 11 | 11 a.m.-1 p.m. | Veterans Memorial Park, 73 Johnstown Rd. | Free | The Gahanna Veterans Memorial will honor local veterans with memorial bricks in the park.
